Bio:
Hailing from the remote village of Rinchen Zor, Norbugang Gewog, under Pemagatsel, Rinchen’s educational pursuit started with secondary education at Sarpang Middle Secondary School. He pursued higher studies at the Institute for Language and Cultural Studies in Semtokha, where he completed his BA in Language and Culture in 2008. He completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Education at Paro College of Education.
Subsequently, he served as a dedicated school teacher for two years in the remote schools of Rangtse and Sangbaykha Primary School in Haa. In 2013, he joined Paro College of Education as an assistant lecturer, nurturing the future educators of the nation.
An academician par excellence, Mr Rinchen Khandu has presented research papers on the Dzongkha language at national seminars and published his work in esteemed journals. His dedication to research also resulted in the publication of a book titled "A Guide to Sacred Sites of Guru Rinpoche - Rongtse Ney" in 2020.
His latest research on "The Findings on the Use of 21st Century Teaching Pedagogy in Dzongkha Curriculum" showcases his commitment to improving the quality of education in Bhutan. The ongoing data collection from 20 Dzongkhags and 60 schools through the RUB research grant reflects his dedication to educational advancement.
With his extensive expertise and unyielding passion for education and research, Mr Rinchen Khandu aspires to serve the people of Nganglam, Pemagatshel, and contribute significantly to the betterment of education and culture in the region. The PDP's nomination of Rinchen Khandu marks a strategic choice to ensure strong representation and progress in this constituency.
