Bio:

The 33-year-old has a degree in electrical engineering from the College of Science and Technology, Royal University of Bhutan. He brings seven years of experience in the construction industry, where he has undertaken major road, bridge, irrigation, buildings, power and telecom works. He has earned himself a reputation as a young leader committed to excellence, completing projects ahead of time, and delivering works of the highest standards.

His passion for making a difference beyond his sphere has led him to stand for public office by sacrificing his successful career in the construction sector. He has a deep understanding of the affairs of his constituency, whom he grew up and remained in touch with. He stood as a National Council candidate from Paro in 2018, which broadened his political perspective and motivated him to pursue a life in public service as PDP's candidate for the 2023 election.

Bio:

She has a master degree in Buddhist Philosophy from Nagarjuna University in India a Bachelor of Education from Paro College of Education, and a PG Diploma in counselling from Samtse College of Education.

She has been a teacher for 16 years in various schools. Besides teaching, she has volunteered in Community-Based Social Services, RENEW, and Multi-Sectoral Task Force (MSTF) for Bumthang Dzongkhag for more than 4 years. As a RENEW and MSTF member, she has been actively involved in rendering voluntary services for the welfare of needy people, particularly domestic violence case Management. She has been key in conducting the advocacy and sensitisation program on Gender Equality, and related Issues such as STDs, HIV, and Sexual Abuse.

She believes that PDP is genuinely for the people and its dynamic and farsighted party president is propped up by experienced former ministers, senior bureaucrats, and professionals in diverse fields dedicated to achieving the common goal.

Pema Wangchuk has a Master of Legal Studies from the University of Canberra and a Postgraduate Certificate in Management from Southern Cross University, Australia. He has diverse experiences working in both government and private sector for 20 years. He has expertise in government policies, laws, regulations, rules and economic policies.

He worked as CEO of Druk Gypsum Private Limited. He also worked as non-executive director, founder/adviser/consultant of various businesses to private companies and a committee chairman of a business organization. Possessing vast knowledge and professionalism will be instrumental in revamping processes and policies to improve economy.

Bio:

Hailing from the remote village of Rinchen Zor, Norbugang Gewog, under Pemagatsel, Rinchen’s educational pursuit started with secondary education at Sarpang Middle Secondary School. He pursued higher studies at the Institute for Language and Cultural Studies in Semtokha, where he completed his BA in Language and Culture in 2008. He completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Education at Paro College of Education.

Subsequently, he served as a dedicated school teacher for two years in the remote schools of Rangtse and Sangbaykha Primary School in Haa. In 2013, he joined Paro College of Education as an assistant lecturer, nurturing the future educators of the nation.

An academician par excellence, Mr Rinchen Khandu has presented research papers on the Dzongkha language at national seminars and published his work in esteemed journals. His dedication to research also resulted in the publication of a book titled "A Guide to Sacred Sites of Guru Rinpoche - Rongtse Ney" in 2020.

His latest research on "The Findings on the Use of 21st Century Teaching Pedagogy in Dzongkha Curriculum" showcases his commitment to improving the quality of education in Bhutan. The ongoing data collection from 20 Dzongkhags and 60 schools through the RUB research grant reflects his dedication to educational advancement.

With his extensive expertise and unyielding passion for education and research, Mr Rinchen Khandu aspires to serve the people of Nganglam, Pemagatshel, and contribute significantly to the betterment of education and culture in the region. The PDP's nomination of Rinchen Khandu marks a strategic choice to ensure strong representation and progress in this constituency.

Bio:

Thirty-seven-year-old Namgyal Dorji had, over a span of 12 years, a distinguished service record as a career diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After serving as the First Secretary at the Permanent Mission of Bhutan to the United Nations in New York, he was serving in the Multilateral Department when he resigned to offer the people of Kabji-Talo a choice in the peerless service of our Tsa-Wa-Sum by joining the PDP.

As a recipient of the prestigious Australia Awards, he earned his Masters in International Relations and diplomacy from the Coral Bell School of the Asia-Pacific College, the Australian National University.

Namgyal has a BA in English (Hons) from Sherubtse College and a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from the Royal Institute of Management.

Bio:

44-year-old former MP Namgay Wangchuk has a Bachelor of Education from Paro College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan. He also received a Master of Public Policy and Management from Murdoch University, Perth in 2017. While there, he worked as a manager looking after the entire operation of a business from 2014 until leaving in early November 2022 to re-contest the election as PDP's candidate from the constituency. He has served as the President of the Association of Bhutanese in Perth Incorporated.

As an MP, he actively participated in all the deliberations in the Parliament during his tenure. He served as the chairman of the Private Sector Committee as well as the vice chairman of Youth and Sports Committee. Namgay actively engaged in committee works in presenting the bills that were assigned to him.
