  9. Dina Nath Sharma :

Best of luck to PDP for the upcoming Assembly Election.

  10. Kapil sharma :

All the best lynpo, we are there for you…all our support for sucess

  11. Karma :

Disqualification of Mr. Garab Dorji, at this 11th hour, indeed shocked not only the party and its members but all the supporters as well. But I have faith in ECB and trust the judgment passed.

We should never leave a room for such crooked politician and I only hope that such malicious act is not practiced beyond Mr. Garab Dorji’s constituency.

PDP should work hard to restore their public image and find capable and suitable candidate to replace Garab Dorji.

  12. soenome :

DPT President’s desperate attempt to pursue voters is more serious and aggravating than Garab’s giving a common document to two people. A paper presented in international forum and published in international journal is basically available to every one. There is nothing wrong in lending a paper available online to few people. People know better than any papers about this ngolop problem. If this is not a discrimination against his family what is it? A simple thing blown out of proportion by DPT supporters, didn’t know ECP is become such a low body. I think PDP should now wake up react and retaliate desperate DPT. I am not a supporter of any party till now but I now feel I support PDP after carefully studying how parties are doing on ground. Funny DPT talks of fair and equaitable system 24/7 and they are the most corrupted ones on the uground, resorting to desperate attempts such as this. PDP you have my support, you are slowly but surely gaining the trust of educated lot.

  13. soenome :

I was a DPT supporter but now I am converted PDP supporter, I was simply fascinated by their menifesto wherein they talked a lot about fair even and equitable developments and treatment.

I am converted because I am not for facts manipulation, aggression and attack. I am for peace, social connectedness and progression which PDP candidates are capable of. Thank god I could convert it before election, no regrets…

  14. Lotoey Pem :

we wish u all the best

  15. RINZIN :

DPT is full of negative campaigns, big talk, empty words. I didn’t like at all. PDP is true to its walk the talk n not making any negative campaigns n giving big talkk.

Tashi Delek to all and wish you sucess, glory to PDP!!

    RINZIN

  16. Thinley :

    this is for Soenome:

Quote “DPT President’s desperate attempt to pursue voters is more serious and aggravating than Garab’s giving a common document to two people. A paper presented in international forum and published in international journal is basically available to every one”….

I think you should think of the bigger picture than just the democracy. The document you are mention is highly sensitive and having met few English people who were present at the talks held at SOAS, I give so much credit to jigme Thinley for his courage. It was very cheap stun by Garab to distribute only part of the paper which brings out divisional amongst people. PDP should ensure they do not have candidate who underestimates the effects of dividing people based on regionalism. Bhutan’s security and sovereignty must be the utmost priority for any political party and any idea or action that divides Bhutanese people should not be entertained.

Your posts in www.bhutantimes.com are so negative towards DPT which is fair enough, but I would suggest that when it comes to something that could possibly led to regionalism, you must think carefully.

I wish both the parties a very healthy and clean politic. Hope Bhutan can maintain its peace, if not do better.

  17. Karma :

I have always supported PDP not necessarily because of the President but by competence and dynamism of some of the candidates. After hearing some of the misconducts carried out by candidates, party workers, tshogpas etc., I am thinking about changing my instance.

Yes! The document is ideally available to everyone but why did Garab distribute only a few selected pages not the whole document? I am convinced he indeed has done that with harmful intention.

I am worried if such practices are organized and systematic within the PDP, considering the cases of Garab, Chimithankha, Nangkhor & Shinkhar gewog coordinators, and recently alleged distribution of Move For Health Walk CDs. The very first historic democratization process is not going the way our common citizin wishes.

  18. 010 :

The matter in discussion is more severe than what Gelephug PDP candidate did. If Gorab and PDP have balls, they should fight the case in the Court of Law. There is absolutely nothing in that document “a Kingdom Besieged” to incite ill will among communities.

  19. wangyal :

This is a fact to be noted by all Bhutanese, untill now I have been undecided on the two parties but now I have made up my mind. The pivotal features the DPT has is in the strength, dynamism and professionalism of its candidates. All are highly qualified and have been serving people directly in the localities. On the other hand, DPT has 5 old ministers who have long hung on to the power and still have the hunger to grab power, many of the candidates are rtrd army officers who in my view would not be suitable candidates. They don’t know much about civilian life as far as I am concerned. PDP has a lot more women’s candidates as well. In contrast PDP is bit old fashioned, power mongering and lot of talk whereas PDP is exciting, professionals and walk the talk. So I am with PDP now and I wish it a grand success in the election.

  20. Thinley Penjore :

All the best for the forthcoming first historic election. I would like to see my young, highly qualified, experience and talented in the post of ministers. We are now in the 21st century and therefore the solutions that applies to the 20th century will no more appy to the present problem of 21st century. For obvious reason, we would like to see change when great country like America too wants change.

    Good luck.

  21. m.p.tiwari :

can student get chance to register in your party

  22. soenome :

PDP is the winner, check the poll hosted on http://www.bhutanobserver.bt/ DPT is not even half of PDP, it’s 65% : 32%

PDP already has a vote bank in villages and now it is also popular among the educated lot. Best of luck

  23. Karma Dorji :

I joined as member of PDP not because the candidate contesting from my constituency is capable former senior civil servant or my family relative but the leading party president is former Lyonpo Sangay Ngedup who had worked tirelessy for the benefit of people in the past that’s many of us knows. I hope of winning, dreamt of winning and pray for winning.

  24. Karma Gyeltshen :

    Dear PDP,

Wish you all the very best of LUCK!

‘Having someone who understands is a great blessing for ourselves. Being someone who understands is a great blessing to others’.
    I remain.
    Thank you.

  25. Karma Dorji :

Wel Come Ms Tshering Dolker. Wish you best of luck.

  26. kuenzang :

i wish may the right candidate with right notion (PDP od DPT) win in all the 47 constituenties…so all the best for all the true sons of palden drukpa….
if u r planning any unfair means be carefull god see the truth and being bhuddhist i hope evryone believes.. all the best …….

  27. Rega Lhamo :

I have always faith in you. WIsh you a dood luck.

  28. Sangay Dorji :

My good wishes and prayers for Mrs. tshering Dolkar, you are a late entry but I have full faith in the Bhutanese society and in you. You can do it. Good Luck

  29. tenzin :

my vote is entirely dedicated to you all!all the best!!!

  30. Tobgyel :

    Dear PDP,

I’m also with PDP and will vote for PDP. But onething which i don’t like PDP repeatedly saying what Lyonpo Sangay has done in the passed.
Now DPT is firing PDP, that it was true that lyonpo went to inaugural new farm roads, visited all vilages on foot but DPT in now influencing the people by saying that people should know how much expenses has incurred during lyonpo’s travel to villages and new roads inaugural. that expenses will easily be used for construction of many such roads in the country. DPT also remained, paying for dancers, Selra for influencial people has taken away millions of Ngultrums, indirectly saying improper used of government money, in one way it is very true.

  31. lords :

All the best and may god bless PDP

  32. Thinley :

    Dear PDP,
Wishing you all the best of luck for the final day!
We are awaiting for that moment for a victorious win.

  33. Karma :

OFFERING GOOD WISHES AND PRAYERS FOR THE PARTY.

  34. H.P.DHAKAL :

    Hon’ble Lyonpo,
This is one of your sincerest admirer and supporter since you joined Health Services in 1992.I was working under your umbrella care as an Incharge in one of the units of the then Thimphu General hospital, till april 1998.
You are my Role Model and I pray the Almighty for your successes in your noble farsightedness and vision for the sake of our Tripple Gem.
Iam far away on duty and and although i am not able to cast my vote this time, my sincerest wishes and prayers are always there for you and our Party, the PDP.
    Thank you.

  35. Khemraj :

We wish you all the best of luck to PDP for the up coming national elections.

  36. Pema :

My prayers are with you. Wishing you all the best. Keep up your hard work! Good Luck.

  37. TENZIN :

MY VERY BEST WISHES AND PRAYERS FOR PDP . MAY THE ALL MIGHTY GIUDE PDP THROUGH THIS ELECTION AND FULLFILL THE MISSION.

  38. Karma Dorji :

I do not agree with Tobyel voices on 12th March that he is with PDP, if he is really a PDP supporter he is supposed to be happy to hear what former Lyonpo Sangay Ngedup had did in the past for the peoples and understand the facts why he visited remote places inspite irritating in hearing what he had done in the past and accepting as true what opposition says such as how much Government money has spent in Lyonpos visits. Did other Lyonpos ever try to go on foot to far remote places to see their fellow citizens when they too are admissible the Government money to spent? Just sitting in capital cannot see and feel other part of their country, one should move around and keep in touch with their peoples if they really love their fellow citizens not only at the time they want their peoples supports. So at the end, I would say, don’t weigh the money but look at developments. Says goes, one should not expect an apple from orange seed likewise Nothing can be brought without expenditure. At last, I would like to mention that all of us has great hope and sure of better future under guidance of his majesty the kings.

  39. norzen :

Dear PDP,its very proud to know that you have come so far winning alot of peoples heart.if bhutan is to enter the new age of development and progress, she would need all the help she can get from the people and such people can only be found in Peoples Democratic Party.
so i wish all the members of PDP the very best of luck.PDP has all the support and prayers from all people.god be with you.

  40. gomde takor :

PDP’s I know that you all will make a great team to walk the talk. keep up, you have my support.

  41. admin :

Lops: We the teachers association of Bhutan would congratulate PDP for its wise movement to run the democracy in Bhutan. Please keep it up.

  42. admin :

Whatever PDP promise to the people are the true promises that will happen in the near future. So people must feel happy for these realities.

  43. Pema :

  48. Namgay W. :

    Dear PDP Candidates
From my point of view i found PDP in full form as P-Palden
    D-Drukpai
P-Pawos&Pawmos(Great Heros and Herions).therefore i m confident with all candidates that they will win in forth coming election. You all are well educated, renound persons and our wishes are always with you all.

    PDP Gaylo ALL THE BEST.

  51. sonam youden :

I WOULD LIKE TO WISH ALL THE PDP MEMBERS TO COME UP WITH THE BEST RESULT.WISHING EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU ALL.

    BYE BYE

  52. Ngawang :

My view to you all, I feel that the equity and justice will come only after “we walk the talk and service with humility”, one can only achieve the goal by doing. So,first walk then talk later follow by justice and equity.
How can one achieve their goal with out undersatnding the real life in the rural or urban situation.
The dangam and dangdoe is a goal to be successful in immorable time(is only the false predication) where as the philosophy “KHA DANG LAP TA THUE ” is a old saying and sucessful.
No body can come up with such philosophy like EQUITY and JUSCICE.
EGOISM is the main weekness of all the bhutaneses, so, justice and equity cannot be a slogan ,to be believe.
Anyways, wising PDP a very best of luck and may god bless you all.
    I BELIEVE IN YOU ALL,
I can gurantee taht the deity of our country will surely support PDP.
    PELDEN DUKPA GYELO.

  53. Namgay w :

    Dear Madam
Namgay Om and Tshering Dolkar,Wish you All the Best of Luck in your forthcoming election as i know the how capable both of you are from my school time as i am one of your student. Both of you are well educated, personified and i am sure that both of you can set the example from the woman side in the National Assembly.

    ALL THE BEST OF LUCK.

  54. Drukp :

I know PDP is a capable party under very active president. I really respect the party and our president but then for this year’s election DPT should win. There are lot reasons for this. Even many of the candidates of PDP know that. There is nothing to be look down even if you lost this years. I am not insulting our PDP party but then speaking my opinions.

  55. Karma Gyeltshen :

To all my Heroes (PDPs), wish you all very very best of Luck for Tomorrow, 24th March 2008.

    ‘At all times…God’ll be above u - to bless u, below u - to support u, before u - to guide u, behind u - to protect u, beside u - to comfort u and inside u - to sustain u.’

    I remain.
    Thank you.

  56. Karma :

Whats wrong with PDP? I was totally shocked to learn even the PDP president have lost to someone who is less experienced. I think we now know the only reason why PDP lost? Don’t we? I hope now the people can address and confront grabbing of national resources and abuse of authority by few elite people.

    Pelden Drukpa Gyalo!!

  57. Zangpo :

It is shocking and sad to hear the news that PDP lost this historic election badly. How is it possible with better candidates than DPT ? It seems to me like a dream. We have to know the root cause of this effect. We can accept slight margin not abig margin. It cannot be 100% civil servant, cannot be ECB, Media . Thye must have bought the voters at the last Minute. Even the South our Strong Hold . Not even one Constituency.

  58. soenome :

i am not shocked, i knew our rural folks love to live in poverty, civil servants love to whisper las so la and bow. this i say is the concerted blunder in the history of bhutan. ‘fear tactics’ especially deployed by the dictators work well in bhutan. dpt will have 100% in next election because they will be mastering the fear techiques in 5 long years. ayee bhutanese people are deprived of mental freedom by fear, they fear to go by cognitive judgement and make right decision. we are not independent individuals, i am sad

  59. dedicated heart :

    dear pdp,

dont lose your head. be strong and confident. we believe in you still.

all these happened due to something going really wrong. only god knows what when its webbed into a cow web.

Only 3 dzongkhag with less people was left untouched. rest… something has been done.

Let the palden drukpa be in peace.

  60. dengpo :

Three cheers to DPT for successfully fooling and luring the innocent bhutaness folks to cast their votes to DPT alone. I am cent percent sure that DPT always had a last trump card up their sleeve and that is what they actually threw just before the poll day. I guess that is what politics is all about. Good keep it up DPTs make hay while the sun shines.

  61. Karma Gyeltshen :

    Dear PDP

When u feel God is rubbing u against the rocks, don’t think that u’ll ruin down to dust, it’s just that he is polishing a gem, coz u are precious!

our(Rural lots) prayers and wishes are always with you, PDP.

  62. dengpo :

    National Assembly Election Result

Wow!! Looking at the results of the NA member election, it gives me a strong feeling that DPT had a magic wand to stun the entire population in front of the Electronic Voting Machines. If not, these machines could have been rigged or pre-fixed to smash PDP at all cost. Surprisingly, even the DPT candidates are shocked with the result. Something is definitely wrong somewhere. Even the Chief Election Commissioner during his press conference on 25th morning, was observed to be behaving pretty nervous to deliver his speech. In between the lines he also made several silly mistakes in his lines. Is he not feeling guilty of something which we do not know.

Can some one shed some light on the above please.

  63. Tandi :

PDP IS THE BEST, NO MATTER WHAT…
THE RESULT, ITS A TOTAL BLUNDER…
    RURAL FOLKS, U’LL KNOW SOONER…
    PDP IS THE BEST…

STILL A HARD CORE SUPPORTER OF PDP….
    GOD BLESS…

  64. soenome :

    hia dengpo,
i’ve been thinking on the same line but i hesitated to mention here since it is just my own feeling. can we have a chance to revisit the evms, figures and voters? i feel like something would unfold in the coming days to come…

  65. mipham :

I suspect this would happen that DPT will win. It is my personal observation that DPT with 5 old ministers as well as having lots of old govt officials, they are well accustomed to playing politics in this election from top to bottom. In the village level in remote places, illiterate local populace are intimitatingly influenced by DPT cronies who also holds positions in the local level.I have no complaint about DPT’s menisfestoes. Whereas PDP with whole lot of fresh and dynamic professionals are not well accustomed to playing darker side of the politics.
Moreover, ECB simply thrashed many valid cases of complaints by PDP as the election date neared without giving a proper verdict, thus not rectifying the image of PDP being tarnished improperly by DPT.
Many people hurl a bit of blame on the PDP’s president being the son of Yab Ugen, however it is regrettable one thinks this way on personal level rather than on a national level, when a sincere, honest and capable minister who long served the Tsawa sum with complete dedication. You could see this dedication as honourable Sangey Nedup was magnanimous in the defeat by not accusing anyone but just wishing good for the country, DPT and for democracy!!
People will come to know soon that the new democracy that His Majesty enshirned with hard works and dedication has been infact hijacked by power mongering group of ministers and their cronies by having no real democracy as well as their sweet lip services n menifestoes thrashed in the bin. Had you then elected PDP, it would have been a vibrant, dynamic and properous new democracy!!

  66. Drukp :

PDP people…it is really felt unease to hear that those who were selected for MP were also resigning now. Do you think you are doing good thing in front of your children. When i saw that line in Kuensel stated by one of the PDP MP selected candidates..i was shocked and then i realized that they are not great becuase they are devoted to the country and the King they after something. I really felt sad with those guys. You know how much difficulties you are making on ECB?. Can’t imagine also. and also it is not a proper way and time to investigate the victory once again by ECB. You are telling that you have to win but look at back sometimes. There is no support for you guys. Please think of that also.

  67. yeshi.k.dorlji :

I’m a strong supporter of PDP, but wen i saw the things that was shown in tv last evening which was shocking n unimaginable….i know it was sad that we lost but is it fair to blame a section of our citizens FOR the outcome,SHOCKING, very very sad start of so called hifi democracy in bhutan… i’m sad i wasted lots of energy to promote this PARTY till the last minute now i feel sad extremely disappointed with the party i chose, i was already heart broken due to the lost now this, i was proud of my party despite of loss but today i suddenly feel very let down by the party i thought was the right one to form bhutan’s first government….i’m very sad to know that our MPs (2 of them)
is very very very short sighted, they should have represented us should hav fought bravely in the praliment for our sake, for the party supporters SAKE, for HIS MAJESTRY THE FOURTH DRUK GYALPO…i’m shock n sad by their decision, very disappointed as i never thought this was coming from our party…GOD SAVE THIS PEACEFUL NATION,only he can save this nation from going in wrong direction..anyway lastly PDP supporters i know next time it will be our time n be patience n lastly please respect people’s wish that’s what that they want now but i’m sure it will change as we will strive hard till next election

  68. Gurung :

I pity the Bhutanese people for being totally swept by the false myths and fear tactics propagated and instilled by the other party. I pity the Bhutanese people for not using their conscience and wisdom.

Most of all, I pity the Bhutanese people for squandering the choice of having so many talented & dedicated professionals in PDP. We will never have a pool of so many talents at a time, in all times to come.

  69. Drukp :

I think PDP people have not heard about the common saying among the villagers. If you haven’t it is their saying.” From the mouth they are for Horse but from the heart they are for Thrung Thrung”. So never regret now. I saw the scenario before happening this.

  70. Karma Dorji :

I just joined my office today and my first work is to put my feelings on people’s voice on PDP web.
I lost all my strength when I heard of losing of our president former Lyonpo Sangay Ngedup. I don’t understand how it happened. Though I’m mere member of PDP but it hurts a lot to me.
I still feeling proud of myself for being a member of PDP even my few freinds call me as loser party. I was PDP member, Still PDP member and PDP member for forever.

  71. tt :

how about ECB investigating fully all the valid complaints submitted by PDP on DPT, if the DPT is implicated, then ofcourse they should take necessary action, I suppose for the betterment of govt n democracy, the likely punishment would have to be reducing the term of DPT in govt to half or less than that, after that a fresh general election could take place.

  72. Khando Lover :

Any way, that,s the people’s choice. PDP please work hard for next gain but don’t lose your hope and behave very smart as many eyes and ears are upon you for making decisions in the next election. Thats all about the democracy…..

  73. ngawang :

    To all the PDP supporters,

THERE ARE STILL MORE FIVE YEARS TO COME, do not loose hope…We believe in you all and we will support your party forever..i am still in twenties..i have more years to support your party and vote for your party for all coming time…like DPT supporters i will also brain wash the rural lots to go for PDP..next is ours..I don’t have trust and faith on DPT they are all…………..!!!
LOVE YOU AND WILL FIGHT FOREVER.
    PEOPLE LOVES YOU!!
OUR PRESENDENT IS THE BEST AND WILL REMAIN BEST FOREVER.
WILL HAVE TO FIGHT AND WIN IN NEXT COMING ELECTION.
