PDP forwards charges on Defamatory Statements made by the DPT President
The PDP head-office has received evidence of defamatory statements made by the DPT Party President during his recent campaign meetings in Trongsa and Zhemgang. They have been forwarded to the ECB. The statements are summarized below:
Trongsa:
1. Meeting at Drakteng: According to reports, the DPT President said the following: 1) Food given now, is a sign that later people will go hungry. 2) Blankets given now, is a sign that later they will go naked 3) If the good party does not get to form government, the country can face war from abroad.
2. Meeting at Langthel: According to reports, the DPT President said the following: 1) Giving food is bribery and a sign that later people will go hungry. 2) The sweets put in mouths now is a sign that later the people’s mouths will go dry. 3) If people vote for the bad party, a time will come for the people to leave the country.
Zhemgang:
1. Meeting at Nimshong (public of Bardo and Shingkhar Gewogs): According to reports, the DPT President said the following: 1) People have to know which is the good and bad party. 2) People should not listen to the bad party and bad people; if they put bad people on top of their heads: - the people will become their servants, - a time will come when people will have to eat food with tears, later forget eating, the people will end up with only tears - later people will even have to leave their phashing (ancestral land) and will get beaten on the head with a stick - there will come a time when their bodies will turn into skeletons. 3) Until now, one or two bad people have been dominating and suppressing the people, this is something important that you should know and understand very well 4) There is no need to be grateful to the health, education and agriculture minister, if you have to be grateful then it should be to me who as foreign minister mobilized foreign aid and distributed it to the ministries, moreover I am the one who made governance strong, and I made the Bhutan-China border peace agreement. 5) The bad people are saying that if you don’t vote for them, they will cut off existing roads, but they cannot do that. The DPT has as it priority objective to continue building roads. 6) If you vote for the good party, the people will be kept on top and we will serve them. Don’t vote for the bad people. 7) Have these bad people given you ghos, kiras and tegos? Moreover, have they given you feasts and money? 8. One day I will fix up these bad people. No one else can do this. I can easily do it. 9)By no means you should vote for the bad party. (He said all this with great emotion and drama, almost coming to tears at some points) PDP party coordinators who were attending the meeting, got up sought clarification on the following:- Which bad party are you refereeing to, we have not been able to understand. Please clarify and specify who is giving bribes, and which is the bad party. There are only two parties in our country: is the PDP President the bad person and the one giving bribes, or is it our candidates who are bad and giving bribes, or otherwise is it the party workers who are bad. If Lyonpo has doubts, please put it in black and white with your proof, and tell us. DPT President’s reply: He said that he was not referring to the PDP but was citing the example of other countries. Following the question by PDP workers an agitated DPT Tshokpa, ex-Counselor Tshewang Dorji, said to the PDP party workers present at the meeting: You, the bad tshokpa and bad people, one day I will make sure that I finish you off.
(The PDP head-office explained very carefully to those who submitted the reports that if their statements proved to be false they would face very serious legal consequences. They however insisted the above was said and they were ready to prove it.)

I am an ardent supporter of PDP. I have my brother running from one of the constituencies. However, after going through what you have put up, I makes me sad. Be a little more professional. Please don’t up such article as if its just any other blog spots where anyone writes what ever they want. Please be a more professional and lest grow up and not make PDP look like a cry baby.
Cheer for PDP. I am always behind you.
